Doug - what about the board it started on??? I heard the amount of people trying to get there actually brought down the whole server

If you had a chance to drive a Ferrari, wouldnt you want to see what it can do? Its built for speed anyway, so whats the big deal.

Do you all fell that violated by someone else driving your vehicle just as hard as you do?
I'll tell you what. You put as much sweat, hours, blood, work, money, etc into your L as you can. Then hand the keys over to me and walk away wondering exactly what the hell the I did to you're truck.

What if it gets crashed and totalled??? Sure the vehicle can be replaced. But the work you put into can't. Good luck getting them to compensate you down to the penny for all the money you put into.

If I was a tech or vallet parker person, I would never ever do that. I may beg and plead the owner for permission to, but if someone asked permission to drive it, thats a different story.

You know what, it's friday, and I don't feel like speaking my mind, so I'm shutting up.

SpankDog - perfect!

Great job guys...............now you're gonna get this thread deleted!!! Dumb a$$es!!!!

Doug, if you can, keep this thread up, but just delete those last couple of posts, so that the original link can still be accessed.

Those links remind me of that RX7 guy who was able to find his stolen car thru one of the boards, thanks in part to one good friend, and one imbecile of a thief!! Nice stuff to see how everyone gets together to help someone out.

Grey03:

Basically it boils down to this. I don't trust others to drive my high-performance vehicles because I am a better driver than them. Will I let a track teacher take my car out for a lap? Sure. If Mario andretti was the valet would I give him my keys? probably.

There's a big difference between a track instructor and a Ford tech. I don't care what his skill level as a tech is, if you haven't driven repeatedly at high speeds you are a danger to yourself others and the car. I don't trust a Ford tech to have the skills required to drive my cars.

Would I trust an average member of this board? Nope! Would I trust one of the tuners? Almost certainly.

I think people standing up for this tech are idiots. He got busted plain and simple.

Good point Coldie. The guy was definately a dumba$$ mullet...why else would he post about it online? Besides, if you read the post, her cobra was brand new and babied, not even broken in yet.

The bottom line is it's illegal and idiotic to STEAL someone's car, flog it, than be completely moronic by posting it online. With the license plate #!

You must be one of "them". I dont understand how you can justify driving a vehicle like that just because its made to. It does not belong to you, do not abuse it.

I got to page 7 of the "San Antonio SVT tech abuse" on SVT Performance but now it appears the sever is on it's knees, and no pages will load.

These are some horrible stories, and I am also victim to "bodyshop" abuse. My 2002 FireHawk went in for some small warranty paint repairs 1 week after taking ownership. To make a long story short, after 5 attempts and the entire driver door and sail panel repainted, it still was flawed and worse than what I took it in for. I also noticed more miles on the car and when i confronted them about it they called me a liar. The bodyshop was contracted by the dealer, and both of them told me I was too picky and they aren't going to help me anymore. I took it up with the BBB, won the case, and sold the car for a 2K loss and bought my current 2002 Black Lightning.

I agree, the guy is an *** for posting it, but I am sure he is just someone making up a story. From what he said about hooking up the scanner and that Converter temps looked good, is BS.

I guess that is why most buyers look for the car/truck with the most miles on it before we buy it. I for one wanted the highest mileage new 2001 Lightning when I bought my truck. I wanted to make sure that all the dealer techs, salesmen, and test drivers broke it in real good.

edit: I wonder if all dealers have problems with their employees? I took my truck in for service last year and the aftermarket stereo system was stolen from it along with some door damage. I had to sue the dealer for reimbursement and damages(which I won after several months.) I believe that the theives, whom were never caught, were informed that my truck was in for service by an inside source(dealer tech/s.)

General Manager: Jim Thompson

http://nsford.com/

I am talking to Jim now, and I was surprised to see that he took my call. Jim is confident that the tech was making his story up and is in the process of putting up a formal reply on svtperformance.com. Jim also states that the tech was fired for being a smartass and lying about the ordeal.

Jim stated he is having the techs certification revoked since they paid for them, and has sent a certified letter to the 03 Cobra owner asking her to come in and discuss the issue. He told me he would offer her an extended warranty.

He said he has received hundreds of calls thus far....

Ok, now for my comment

The fact that this happened to anyone sucks and the guy should be fired but....

What if this is all a big ploy to get a free extended warranty? Think about it, how dumb do you have to be to post a plate number if you were the one to do this dirty deed. But if you were the owner posting this as a twisted ploy then it would be the shiznet because you get the punk that pissed you off for whatever reason fired, you get a nice warm fuzzy letter from FoMoCo and the extended warranty....

Probably not but what if.....Hey does this mean I am officially paranoid? Wow mom would be so proud!!
