Has anybody out there ever got a DUI in their L? Just curious ... all stories welcome please.

I am a huge advocate of not drinking and driving after seeing a few of my buddies get in big legal trouble at MSU for getting caught. However I do find myself driving home sometimes after a few beers when I probably shouldn't be, but...........

I will never drive my L after I have been drinking. There are just way too many things that problems I could foresee with me being in that situation. Hell I do some pretty stupid things in my Ranger when I get a few pops in me.

Me + beer + 400/500 Lightning = Disaster

You may think you can handle your liquor and won't draw attention to yourself when you are behind the wheel but, you are just kidding yourself.

I NEVER get into the cab of my truck when I'm drunk.

This is why they have rear sliders. I can reach the wheel from the bed with my left hand and use a long stick to work the gas and brake.

I sat in my truck once while i was drunk, couldn't figure out how to start it though....=o)

 

I passed out in the bed once under the A.R.E. cover with my little ford blanket. It got down to like 40 that night to, so cold!!!! but no wind and no sunlight in the monring to wake me.

I've drove after a few beers, but never to the point where I was drunk!. way to much to loose for that one.

 

Thanks guys ... sounds like most of you would rather not chance losing the L because of a DUI ... NOT TO MENTION the effect it would have on insurance.

 

I gave my keys to a buddy one night at a bar..I was dying..wanted to go sleep in the L..but I knew he wouldnt give me the keys..I was about to go down in the bar.

Went outside to get some fresh air and thought..Damnit we are gonna be out a leat 3 more hours.

So..I was standing there and remembered!!

AHH HAA Keyless entry!!

So I have slept in the L drunk..Pretty comfy..Had some serious bed head though when they woke me up at 2am

They didnt know where I was..Looking under bar tables..LOL

why r u asking this question? did u get a DUI?

 

a friend of mine was killed after drinking. he crossed the median on the freeway with the cruise set at 75 and ran head on into a cement truck. he was in his ML320 and the only way to tell what he was driving was the mercadees sign on the steering wheel.

i will never drive drunk!! its too easy to just call a cab!!

 

try to sleep if off in your truck before driving home, DON'T HAVE KEY IN IGNITION--RUNNING 0R NOT-OR HAVE KEYS IN YOUR POCKET. Have heard they can still nail you somehow? Put keys in console, so no intent to drive can be made. State laws will undoubtedly vary on this?

 

YOU SHOULDN'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!!! you sip and swerve...... LOL!!!
