Polished vs. Brushed ?!

Okay so I want to get a billet grill for my L. On a site I saw a choice between either polished or brushed? What is the difference? Im not even sure was brushed means.

Anyone have any pics of either polished/brushed/black billet grills on their L?? (Esp. black)
