Rob, I understand you no problem. You just want to do what's right for your truck, and you don't know yourself, so you listen to others. I just think you're getting bad info.

TR6s are not 2 ranges colder, they are one. And if you were told they are too COLD for your mega boost, you're getting really bad info. If anything, they are too HOT for your combo. As you add boost, cylinder temperatures rise, and you need to go to a colder heat range plug to dissipate the heat to the head faster. You also need to close the gap as you increase boost, because it's harder for the spark to jump a large gap with increased cylinder pressures. I see so many people out there running the wrong plugs, and so many people having problems from it. As for your tune, well, if you've got 1 more degree timing than stock and A/F in the 10s, then you have been ripped off my friend. That program won't give you anything over stock, as it's essentially a stock program!

As for hot lapping, that's not going to slow your truck down. Ask anyone here, and most people will tell you the've turned their best times hot lapping. If your program is really what you say it is, then your times aren't really that off.

I'll be more than happy to help you any way I can. But you must be willing to trust me, and do the things I say. If say you need to change part 1 and 2, and you change part 1 to what I suggest, but you change part 2 to what someone else suggests, that's just not going to work. I'm here for you man, you just gotta believe .

Let's hook up when you get back from KY. You let me know when and where.

Thanks Sal

Well there is a couple tenths gone right there!

I got a "safe tune" on my truck right now, and with more mods I'm running .1 behind last year. It does suck.

Sal,

I didn't realize the TR6's were only one zone colder, I guess I hear so much talk about who's using TR-5's and TR6's that I just assumes the 5's were one step and the 6's two. I pulled a couple of plugs today and they looked fine. Running exactly the same as the stock "so they must be doing the job"

Here see

Question chip + tune

Sal, I would also like to purchase a 4-way chip from you and have you tune it for me on the dyno. Name the day and place and i'll be there. Sounds like a golden opportunity to me.
