Talking Updated project list

As many of you know, last friday I had my truck towed to HCI in Sacramento for some major work. As of today, my engine and transmission are out of the truck and the c-notch has been completed. No problems so far.............. In talking with HCI, my project list keeps getting longer. It now consists of the following items;

1. Replace Engine w/ stroker engine from Sal
2. Install new Whipple 140
3. Raise rear end by 1"
4. Replace all hoses with steel braided hose
5. Complete installation of Recaros - seats are not wired.
6. Install PSP Fast Air
7. Install 2nd NX express bottle, remote openers, heaters
8. Install Expedition center console
9. Move NX Solenoids so that they are no longer hidden
10. Install new bed liner - old one had a hole
11. C-notch frame and install C-notch brackets
12. Install PSP line lock
13. Install PSP tach adapter
14. Install JDM boost bypass
15. Extrude hone intake
16. Relocate battery - Taylor battery box, moroso battery cut-off switch
17. Install JLP Super cooler
18. Install JDM deep sump trans pan and filter
19. Steel-braided brake lines
20. Electric exhaust cut outs
21. Install new seat belt receiver due to new seats
22. Install gauges in center console
23. Mount PSP 4-Way chip switch in center console
24. Accusump oil primer
25. Camber alignment kit
26. Install bed rug
27. Install JDM adjustable rear shocks
28. High amp alternator
29. Locking gas cap
30. Keypad modification
31. Navigator antenna base
Keeps getting longer with each passing day.......

Does anyone have any other ideas as to mods that should be completed. I would really like to get everything done while my truck is in the shop.........

thats gonna be one nice truck....you should throw some custom paint on that thing. Repaint it entirely in pearl white with some flames. that would be nice..as far as performance mods...do you have a custom brake set up? that would be something to consider.

Damn I didn't think they could stroke that 5.4 anymore but I guess its possible now huh!

Major TRQ monster huh!!! HEHEHEHHE

If your going to go that far then put a fuel cell in the truck!

Are you porting the heads and putting new cams in? I would think so.

custom solid motor mounts

put the batteries like I did under the bed where the spare goes, It makes for AWESOME traction aid also!!! I was getting 1.6 60 foots while only going 12.40's with no traction bars and 26" et streets.

I like all the Mods except the Electric exhaust cut outs.

I say just get a top quality exhaust system, and use the money from the cut outs for something else.

Thanks for the input.

Easterisland - Your truck is badass..... I got many ideas from your signature. I actually copied it and saved it in Microsoft Word. I hope that you don't mind......

PoisonedL - I am definitely considering a custom paint job once I get my truck back.... I looked into Brembo's, however, they won't clear my Foose Spank rims. I am definitely on the lookout for some new brakes that will fit... Any ideas??

RT - I am going to look into your suggestions for the fuel cell custom motor mounts and remounting battery under the bed - all excellent suggestions... I am having my heads ported and a new cam. Thanks again. You are always a great help.

Don - I am running JDM's long-tube headers with Bassani cat back. Is there something better that I should be running? I am really interested in your input since you have one of the fastest trucks around.

Vinnie - LOL. I really don't want to get a cage, however, I might have to huh....

Thanks again guys.....

Dave

Dave the Bassani Long Tube combo will sound awesome, trust me you won't need the cutouts. Just make sure you tell Jim that you will be using the Bassaini. Have him send you the highflow catsand pipes to match up to the Bassani.

Also if your going to get a new supercharger, don't worry about extrude honing the intake. The new blower will come with it's own intake.

Also with all these mods there are two more things you should concider
1) upgrade your fuel pumps, Sal sells a set of 255's I went from our stock 155's to some 185's
2) upgrade the transmision, maybee a factory Tech unit. You are going to be generatin a lot more HP and torque. The stock trans will not be able to handle all that power.

Don-

Thanks for the response. I am going to talk to Jim about the highflow catsand pipes, and I am definitely going to take your advice regarding the fuel pumps... 255 sound like the way to go. Luckily I already have Factory Tech's monster box . Thanks for the suggestions.

Mods to improve handling and braking should be on the list.

Dave,

It depends on how much you want to spend. But, I'm in San Jose often, so why don't we meet for lunch sometime. Send me an email.
