Watch where you remote start you car!

I went to go watch my schools volleyball game yesterday. On the way out, there is about 35 people in the parking lot (the lot holds probably around 400 cars), and I start up my truck with the remote as I am walking out of the exit. When the truck starts, there is a mom getting into her car right in front of where my truck is parked. She hears the car startup, walks over to it, and starts trying to open the door. WTF? I turn the truck off and yell at the lady (shes about 50ft away) to stop touching my truck. She didnt hear me but left as soon as i turned it off. I dont know about you, but no matter what, i would never touch anyones parked car. Not even if they left the door open and they clearly werent around, i still wouldnt go over and close. Maybe im over reacting because I love my truck so much but what do you all think. If someone just went up to your truck and started pulling on the handle tryin to open it, wouldnt you get mad?

After having a remote start go bad, and not being able to start the cat with the key, I will never have another one!

lets not be to hasty.. I live in Dallas and use my remote start to get the a/c going to cool down the truck and the heater in the winter.. My wife uses hers on her SUV all the time.. I am in disbelief that someone came over but maybe she thought there was a little kid inside that made this happen.. who knows? but I wouldnt have liked it too much either.. but I will continue to use my remote start..

Little Kid LMAO. Maybe she thought there was a little kid in there from the Whine of the Blower . She was up to no good. Come one i know i would never walk up to anyone else's car if it was running and try to open it. At most i might take the plate and let someone know so they can announce that it was left running. I wouldnt even walk over and look into someone's car even if it was something i loved and never saw before. I wouldnt do that because i know i would be pissed if someone did that to my truck and trust me they have i hate that. Like i said my truck wont be running unless im in it or an arm's length away. Thats just the way it has to be because its a shame you just cant trust anyone .

ok ok the little kid thing was a reach.. but I do look at other peeps cars/trucks but dont touch them.. esp if its another L.. then I hope the owner is around to talk about 'em..
HOWEVER, I agree with you 100% on the fact you cant trust anyone anymore.. I am old enough to remember when you didnt worry about locking the front door.. and I am not THAT old...

Hey, I'd of been bitch slapping her too!! You have every right to be pissed.

Having a remote start with dark *** tints is the best!!! Whenever i leave the windshield covers on, you can't see jack into the truck.............I love remote starting it next to someone, and have them stare at the truck for like 5 minutes trying to wonder if there is anyone there!

Actually a remote starter is illegal in Florida, as there is an ordinance against leaving a vehicle running unattended. Found that one out when I was considering a turbo timer on my 300ZX. So having that nifty toy down here will get you a moving violation...
