I think it goes back to some idiots leaving their car running and somehow going in gear to whack some kids. In a state where the median age is somewhere north of egyptian mummy, you have to expect stupidity.

Oh wow, I would have punched her right in the breast...yep there is no reason for that. I have had a remote in my last 3 vehicles and I will never go back, its not like she could have driven away (if it is installed properly) but man.....she touched your truck!!!

I've got the remote start on my truck. In High School, I coulp program it to start 8 minutes before I got to it, so in winter, it would be a lot warmer.
A few times, we have been eating at the fast food joint, and I parked buy the door. We would just sit thier and start it up when people would walk buy, it was the funniest thing.
But I am carefull, dont start it when some dude that looks in a bad mood is thier, its not a good site.
From my doorm room, I can see the truck, So I start it, go down 1 flight of stairs, and hop in and head off.
