Thats what I thought this morning! Well I just got a 2 way chip from JDM and I was trying it out this morning. I took off in the middle of the highway smoking tires, untill I couldn't keep the truck straight. Well about a mile down the road I noticed my tire smoking. I said to myself, damn JD you have bad a$$ chip to catch the tires on fire! Maybe I was not awoke yet, but it was antifreeze on my tire smoking. I blew a heater hose. Truck is not a year old yet! I thought that was funny. I never heard of a heater hose breaking. Shes back home tonight.

 

heheheeeee!!! Sounds like something that would happen to me! Better luck in the future.

One thing you might want to check, are the heater hose extensions. Each hose has a about 6 inch long extension with a quick disconect fitting on it. One of those quick connects may have come undone.

I took the 2 extensions off my hoses.

 

No it blew out. The cords were showing. I had ford to warrenty it. It was at the firewall. It looked like a bomb went off! I know why it happened! My truck was clean!

 

If it blew right at the firewall than it might be just one of the extensions. If so just eliminate them, that way you will have one less two less conections that could leak in the future.

Theres a tube thats coming up and out of the head in the back. It has a clamp on. Broke right before the clamp.Its about 12 inches from those extentions. You took those extentions off? I see I will be up grading my hoses in the future for race puposes. We can't have this happening on the 1/4.
