Why though?

Why mess with the brake system though? The stock system will stop an L quicker than a Dodge Viper! Even a modded L... the system should be more than enough to keep up.

I was in California for the first time at the annual Saleen car show last Saturday and there was an L there with the BREMBO kit, man that thing is nice, but for $4000 bucks it certainly ought to be.

later,

I'm the one in the back.

I'm very spoiled by them now. I bought a second car and can't stand the brakes, I'm looking to upgarde them too.

Just so you all don't think I'm crazy, here's an excert from the 2001 L test on the Edmund's site:

For those craving exotic American muscle, the Lightning is certainly cheaper and more practical than a Dodge Viper. And, it has better braking, Scarpello asserted. The Lightning's four-wheel disc brakes with ABS bring it from 60 mph to a standstill in 136 feet. The Viper requires 139 feet.

As far as fade, you might all be right, but I am not autocrossing in my L, just getting on it every now and then so fade is not a huge issue for me. Maybe someday brake upgrade, but for now I am more than impressed with the stock system.

I know what you mean. Most that want better brakes are those who actually need them. Not me, as like you. Im satisfied with the stockers since I really do not need that much braking power.

Then again if some money fell on my lap..... I would get Brembos Or just steal The Pawn's kit.....
