I now have 1,500 miles on the L and have ordered some performance parts from JL: 5# lower pulley, ram air, chip. What else do I need to do for first round? What about spark plugs, do I need different ones? If so, which ? NGK tr6, NGK br7ef, Denso it22
I am also considering a lower temp thermostat, should I go for the 160 or the 170?

It looks like you have a pretty good start. Definately change the plugs. Any of the ones you listed will work.

I would change the plugs also. If it's an 01 or later, watch out for axle wrapup. Wrapup= broken driveshaft

Just go with a 160 stat.......cooler motor = more power. And I think that's what your after.

Just don't expect the heater to get warm at all Just saw your in NM so forget about my last statement.

Thanks guys. I picked up a thermostat, had to special order spark plugs. Man I wish I was in a big city, no one had NGK's here. They all looked at me like I had grown a second head when I asked for them.
