Sounds like every local SCCA chapter is using WAG as the class placement for our trucks, pretty sad. Not our fault it comes stock with a supercharger, but other supercharged cars, such as the new Cobra, run in stock class (its in A stock, last I heard, running against C5 vettes). Hell, even the Mini Cooper S has a supercharger, and it runs in D stock. So make sure you quote lots of examples to them before they throw you in prepared class.

Of course, a pulley, chip, etc would actually bump you up to race/modified, as changing boost and timing are no-no's in both stock and prepared classes. Hate to be the tech guy on any of our trucks... heh...

With one group, I run ESP, with the other, they have their own "classing" system which I hate, and I run "C Group" against Porsche C4's, 911's and the like...though it makes for some tough competition.

The group that I ran ESP with let stock trucks run in F-Stock... (They knew it was an OEM supercharger)... And all groups I've been with have no problem with trucks, but only 2WD trucks can run, no 4WD.

I know SCCA changed its Solo2 categories this year, so I don't know if the truck is in F or H stock now. Though I would feel sorry for former H-stock cars if the truck is there...only other vehicles I knew in H-stock were like Saturns and Cavaliers...lol.

That picture is classic. I remember seeing it once before...

Phillip -- if you are a Lightning, you'll have no issues. I ran my truck for a full season on stock suspension and F1's... You'll tend to oversteer alot, so don't expect FTD, but its fun as hell and the audience loves it.

actually its a 99 F150 4.6 with 02 L wheels with goodyear F1 tires. My dad has the L, but I dont think he will be able to make it to the auto X event when I go.

In my truck, should I just put it in D (overdrive off-on) or leave it in 2nd or what?

If you're lowered an inch, you'll probably be okay....just be careful on any negative bank turns...

I had a hard time doing the courses up by me starting in second... I usually do D with overdrive off.
