I am getting ready to install my factory tech valve body.. I got Mercon III fluid, is this right? It says use Mercon not Mercon V but is III the same as regular mercon??

I think III or IV will be ok. I think I used III as well.

use only mercon III

NOT mercon V

check your owners manual.

the two are not compatible.

I think that you can probably use one or the other if you do a complete drain/refill including the converter, but you really should not mix the two.
