how many miles?
hello all love this forum i dont own a L but plan to soon, got to buy a used 1 because the big prices on these wounderfully bad a@@ trucks owned a 97 reg cab 4.6 back in 98 lossed the fellin for the truck and sold it. year ago bought a 98 convert saleen look a like but lacked the speed im looking for :D bolted up a nx wet kit to it and :( still not exactly what im looking for. i was searching the web and found this great forum an been crazy about the L's since:D
well my ? is i found a 99 lightning with 45,xxx mil. on the clock and thinking who here has got a L in mid life and how is it holding?45,xxx isn't extremely high but never owned anything supercharged before. my stang now has 64,xxx an is in good condition but that getting high. The L will be a daily driver and a street fighter :cool: also what should i expect stock with the juice 75 shot afraid of anything bigger with the blower?
p.s the L is $20,350 is that a bad price?

My truck has 56.4K miles with no major problems....yet. Replaced 3 intercoolers and a couple of coils packs, but that's about it. Several miles of that total have been 1/4 mile at a time. I am continually amazed at how well the 99 Lightnings hold up to abuse. Go_rila has a few mods.

Haha....mines just turned 69,000 miles this morning. Driven everyday/street fighter/ 1/4 turner / construction work truck/ driven to Mexico/ etc.. and as strong as ever!
BTW 1999 L with a chip since 10 k miles. Original engine, and trans. Got the intercooler recall done.
Only problems is the usual maintnence. Im in need to change coil pack due to the high-mileage. Got my best of 13.1 at 104mph around 62K miles. These trucks will last you keep up with maintnence.
