Stock is very good.

Unless you are wanting more sound, or are willing to go for the whole package: LT headers, high flow cats, etc., the stock system is hard to beat. If you're interested in more volume there are many options, I have the JDM Silver Bullet catback & it sounds really good, as does the Bassani & others. Good luck.

Try a search on exhaust, it has been covered in so many ways, could make one dizzy.

I wanted a different exhaust on my '02 L but haven't found what I need in one package for a bone stock L. I don't plan on racing, want a little louder, more aggresive sounding exhaust. Almost all aftermarket catback systems will do that.

On the other hand, I don't want to lose even 1# of low end torque for an exhaust. When I find one (cat back) that guarantees no low end loss, maybe even a gain and sounds great, I will get in line to buy it. For now stock isn't bad at all.

Good Luck.

two total stock trucks at a shop here in vegas had a little test. one had a full bassani system, (LT headers, high flow cats and cat-back) the othere stayed stock. on previous races the trucks stayed even. after the bassani was installed, that truck won by 3-4 car lengths every time. (and it sounded SOOO good while winning).....chris

If your lookin for cheap great sound and great quality, i'd go with MAC. I saw it on a couple trucks during the Miami meet, and it looks sweet!

I agree with Mike..I have the MAC and it sounds great and the chrome tips look awesome.. It's not stainless like the others but so what..It'll last probably just as long..Can't go wrong for under $300.....just my opinion however.....JR

I personally like the stock exhast... Im thinking about just buying SS tip's for it. On the other hand... for under 300$, the MAC does sound quite nice!

Thumbs up Bassani

Ask the guy I passed in full boost this a.m. He was cruisin with the top down in his little Mitsubishi whatever. I passed him on the right side and saw him jump in terror about six inches straight up! Don't know if it was the Eaton or the Bassani but I can tell you this... The combination of Fast-Air intake and Bassani is lethal.

I'm partial to the JDM silver bullet exhaust

But no matter what exhaust you get, or even if you don't get a new exhaust, make sure you at least get better tips!

My stock exhaust made it into the high 12s at the 1/4 mile. I now have JDM's single Magnaflow cat-back and it sounds and looks great--all stainless with 4 1/2" tips.
