Arrow Just ordered a stereo system for my L

It is a Audiomobileinc.com sub, and a JBL 1200.1 amp. The sub is a 12 EVO-R that handles 1200W. Im getting a custom box for free, cause i deliver (UPS) to a stereo shop. Will the factory head unit work with an aftermarket amp? I know you have to get a RCA converter or something like that. I kinda like the way the head unit goes with the interior.

It will work but that will defeat the purpose of putting a system in.Plus you if you put a sub in youll drowned out you mids and highs, with a after market radio you ll get the wattage youll need to those mids and highs.
iF interested i have a new radio im getting rid of that will make the lightning shine and get you alot of attention

Go to Brandsmart. Hi-Lo convertor is like 15$. Just take the feed from the rear speaker, and run it to the Hi-Lo Convertor. The RCA's for the amp just run to the Hi-Lo convertor, and everything should work just fine.

Hi- Lo converters will work but are not a great way to do it. Most converters have limited dynamic headroom and create some distortion. Buy a new head unit. Do it right. Car stereos are cheap compared to when I used to sell them 12-15 years ago.
