HD pinging at part throttle

Thought there would be more experience on this forum than on the HD group. I am running a 6# lower pulley combined with a Superchip (flip) on a new HD. I still have the larger HD upper pulley so my boost should be around 11lb. Anyway my concern is that I can hear pinging at part throttle when accelerating from say 55 to 65 mph at 1/2 throttle. Best fuel available around here is 92 octane, so 94 is not an option. The pinging stops if I flip the chip switch to the bad gas position. Problem is I have tried several brands of fuel with no success. Anyone else having this problem? Do I need a reburn on the perf side of my chip? It has been cool here (65F) so heat has not been an issue. Thanks.

MRBBQ I take it you are telling me there is an easy fix for this? Mike at Perf Products seems to be ducking me right now.

you need a re-burn to remove some timing on the perf mode. a lot of us, myself included, have had the same "tip-in" detonation, you described. it's a very easy fix for a "chip-burner". if this guy won't do it, you will have to send it to JDM or another superchip tuner, which there are quite a few of. you are safer running around with a 6lb lower and no-chip, for a while, than "any" detonation on a blown motor, especially with stock plugs.
