Just met the fastest stock L
Came out of the grocery store to find a red 01 L parked next to me. Father and son team. They were asking lots of questions about my truck, if I did the work, etc. I asked them what they had done and he told me just some intake work. I then asked if he has run it down the 1/4. A prompt oh yes, it ran a mid 11-sec pass. I asked Mid 11-sec??? Yep mid 11's about 130mph. I had to see his intake work. He poped the hood and his intake work amounted to a k&n filter stuck on the end of some home made POS adapter. Nothing more. No pulley, no chip, nothing. I told him nice ride, hope to see you at the track. Laughed my butt off as I drove away. The teenage son wanted to know how much time my wing was worth in the 1/4. Poor kid doesn't stand a chance.
You have a wing?
Jeez, it's almost a shame these trucks became this popular... One of my students (Senior) got a 2000 Lightning for his birthday last May... Good kid, but I hope he doesn't hurt himself or anyone else with it.

He prob wasnt lying, he just forgot his local track was only 1/8th mile. I guess blowing the tires off the truck and the heat could make you run 11's in the 1/8th lol!!

I would believe him if his truck was a true blue 2002. I know mine runs low 11's, and I would guess all the blue ones run that fast. I say that because my salesman said so.......I know Sal says red is the fastest color, but he coined that phrase before the true blue's hit the bricks...........
