Thumbs down Fedex sucks

I will never use them for any shipping again.

I am waiting for some parts, and they have been sitting in Hartford CT for 5 days. It seems that they have 2 ground services, Fedex ground and Fedex home. The place that shipped the stuff used Fedex home.

I have now found out that the Home service doen't work many Saterdays, any Sundays or any Mondays. and in the case of the Holliday they took tuesday off too.

My parts left Calif on the 27th they arived in CT on the 31st at 2:17 AM, and as of today the 4th they are still in CT.

So if you ever use Fedex make sure you do not use Fedex home. Make sure it is regular ground.

I'll use UPS from now on, I love the brown truck

Yeah, Fed Ex bought out RPS (Roadway) which turned into Fed Ex ground. They are also buying out many other ground services as well, so I don't expect the situation to get better anytime soon. I've not had any bad luck with Fed Ex ground so far, but regular Fed Ex lost a box of chip modules two weeks ago that was coming overnight .

All the shiping people mess up. When I ordered my wheels 3 of them came in (form Cali to Ok) but one decided it wanted some warmer weather in Florida. That was the memorial day weekend, so that last wheel took 5 more day's to get to OK.

In case anyone is interested, I just found out that FedEx is slated to OWN the USPS by Q4 2004. Apparently, FedEx has recently enetered into a contract for the shipment of all of the Express Mail and Priority Mail between post offices. Previously, this mail was sent to airports and put on any plane that had room. Now FedEx is the exclusive provider.

Best method: deliver or pick it up yourself.

But I've used them all. I'm not a big FedEX fan at all. But in all honesty I've had both of them screw up an equal amount of times. The only reason I like UPS better is b/c most of the drivers that I have met for UPS are much more pleasent and friendly then FedEX drivers.

That is so true, seems like the UPS guys are willing to talk to you, I've had them start coversations about my GTO. The fed-ex guys seem to no just give a sh*t. At least that is my experience around here.

Well, im a UPS driver and i can say that our ground service is 100x better than Fed ex. The air service is about equal. Fed ex ground(formerly RPS) is the reason why. If you have any delivery issues with us just call the 1800 # and BARK and little. Trust me i know, if a customer wants something and makes an issue it will be there that day or first thing in the morning. Yall may not know this, but all of our deliveries are guranteed, meaning if your del date is 9/6 and it dosent make it then call the 1800 # and the shipping is free and i promise the package will be there asap.

I have had MUCH better sucess with Fed Ex ... If you have a fed ex package requiring signature they leave a hang tag that describes where and when it can be picked up later the same night. Show them the tag they disappear and 2 minutes later they hand you the package. If it is big they help you carry it to the car. Since I will NEVER be home to sign it works great.

If UPS has a signature required package you may as well just cancel the order... You will NEVER be able to pick it up. If you arent a business customer paying the daily pickup charge you dont exist to them... I have happily paid as much as $20 extra for Fed Ex shipping.
