Question Would you buy an 02 Blue Lightning???

I"m just curious cause I have a deposit on one and plan on buying it within the next week. Would you buy this color or not and why? I love the color because it is different. I haven't seen one on the road yet and I Know this was the only year Ford is making this color. I love the Silver, black, and red ones too but everyone already has them. That is one of the main reasons I'm choosing this color. Do you think I will regret it?

Here's two reasons you should:
1. It looks great on the Lightning!
2. Ford only made the L in that color for one year. Veeery rare color. So resale should be higher.

I love my black 01, but a dealer near me has a ton of Ls including an 02 blue. I'm considering trading later in the year when they get desperate. I think the color is great and as stated before, very rare.

Cool

Silver, red, black, & blue were available around here when I was buying. I chose silver because I use it as a daily driver most of the year. And the lighter colors hide dirt better.

In my experience dark blue and black are a royal pain to keep looking sharp when out in the elements.

Wouldn't it make sense to buy what you like..and not what we like?

I like the true blue, but personally I would hold out for the sonic blue which is much nicer.

If you like the True Blue... buy it. It's pretty rare. The color was only for 2002 and they only made like 900. But hey, as long as it's a L then you can't go wrong!

Love my True Blue - the color changes based on time of day from medium blue to near black...

pain to keep clean - all my other F150s were white - and it is hotter in the Summer.

true blue is a sharp color! so sharp i went out and bought one! it looks REALLY nice when clean. slap chrome wheels on it and tint the windows and it would look even more amazing...i LOVE my truck and wouldn't trade it in for ANYTHING...ok well maybe a GT-40 or Lamborghini but that's about it!

Hey Guys,

The True Blue is a nice color , but hard to keep clean like the Black.

I was at my local dealer today. They are ordering their L's they want and what colors.

I have a Red 01, my dealer said he was ordering all colors except for the Sonic Blue. He said he would only take special orders on the Sonic blue color.

He said the best re-sale was black, red, silver L's.

I was kind of bummed., I was going to get a Sonic Blue 03 L. I was hoping he would get one in before I decide on a Red or Sonic Blue L.

Now's he has me contemplating on what color to get?

The Sonic Blue looks good on the Cobra and Focus. Wonder how the re-sale value would be in the future?
