Would you buy an 02 Blue Lightning???

Does anyone have a pic of sonic blue?
The only Lightnings I can find in the area are red or silver - no true blue 02's
Can't decide if I should wait for sonic blue in 03 or just get a red or silver one - I can also get a deal on a 02 now but probably won't be able to on a 03
Plus If i wait for a 03 then I'll probably just wait for 04 - decisions decisions.
The 3 valve heads, 5spd auto and the hope for better rods is my biggest concern as that would be worth the wait.
O if i could find a blue 02 i would have bought one

I'm glad everyone agrees with me that the blue is an awesome color. My first impression was that I loved it . THe blue looks awesome from up close but from a distance the lighter colors are nice because they show the lines better. The reason I'm selling my Vobra is because everyone has a Mustang and noone really has a Lightning. So by going with the blue it will be even more rare!!!! Thanks guys.,...

I prefer the blue over black, it's easier to care for and keep clean, but not by much.........a nice feature of the blue is a very slight purple hue that it radiates when the light hits it just right....but then I've been known to drink copious amounts of Pacifico Beer while waxing it................

My Lightning is True Blue and I love it. On Monday Sept 16 it is going to be a sad day for me, the lease is up I' am a canadian so Lightnings do not go like 4x4 King Ranches in the snow I will miss it and cringe every time i see one, however, I will enve all lightning owners. In april 03 my new baby will be mine a 03 Sonic blue Lightning and i can't wait.

You guys must be pretty hardcore if you want to toss around money like that when the '03s are a handful of months away. According to edmunds the lightning loses ~8k off msrp in depreication in the first year. By buying an 02 so late in the model year you are pretty much losing ~8k for not waiting the couple of months for the '03. Preording an L on your choice of plan (X, A, etc) is a better financial deal but then again a $33k s/c sport truck that gets 12mpg isnt really a sound financial investment to start with

If you have x plan pin or other plan available to you, the difference in price between 02 now or 03 in week between Christmas & New Year's, or certainly Ja. 03, would be negligible! The huge depreciation hit for an 02 won't! IF WE ALL BOYCOTT BUYING 02'S NOW, MAYBE FORD WILL GIVE 0% FINANCIAL DEAL ON LEFTOVER 02'S IN DEC., LIKE THEY DID 01?
