The thing will smoke an SVT Focus, but a Lightning will spank it. It has a good 0-60, but everything after that falls off. Heck, if the guy really knows how to drive, he may stay with a Lightning, through first gear.
It's a 205hp, 220ft-lb car, and it looks great, especially for a Neon. It's real, it's HERE, and it's quick - but a Lightning is fast.

Dodge is definately on the way to giving us real headaches in the Ford camp. With all of Fords money problems they are going to get left behind for a few years. The neon may be a great run for a stock L but a modified one will walk all over it. Dodge says the srt neon will run 0-60 in 5.8 secs. . You can do alot to modify a turbo to give freakish #'s. No L competition but it will smear an svt focus all day long. Supposedly Ford will be coming out with an svt focus with a turbo in 04' or 05'. A little late but the focus is a better car than the neon right now. It will be in 05' too. THE LITTLE CAR CRAZE WILL NEVER GO AWAY. SO GET USED TO LITTLE PURPLE AND GREEN THINGY'S REVVIN' NEXT TO YOU AT A LIGHT.

Production of Dodge SRT-4 is scheduled to start in the spring of 2003 at the Belvidere (Ill.) Assembly Plant, with sales to begin shortly after.
