Unhappy First Ticket in the Lightning Today

The fine officer said: "I'm going to have to write you a summons for Improper Equipment".
In case some of you guys from Va. didn't know, Windshield Banners are illegal in Va. I knew they were that's why I tried to be sneaky and had it made just large enough to cover the center portion of the windshield. Oh well, pay it and keep on trucking.

Angry

Why people knowingly make illegal modifications to their vehicle is beyond me. A tiny windshielf banner is no big deal but the ricers who have banners all around the vehicle, washer nozzle lights, wheel flashers, and catless exhausts.....ugh.

The Saleen banner isn't included on cars destined for VA... isn't it a croc-o-schit.

Wow...interesting...I guess I learn something new every day. I wonder if VA is the only state with that law?

That's what you get for living so close to DC.

Tell me about it!!! I've got a buddy with a Saleen. He moved here to VA about 2 years ago and his car still has the window banner. He's been pulled before, but most cops are ok and don't site him for the "infraction". But then again... you do run across those that are a-holes and want to push the point! Oh well... what can you do???

That law is just as bad as the law in Oregon I think, which states you can't put a sheep in a bathtub. I mean cmon! How stupid do laws get?

I put the front plate on my truck to avoid such hassles with the man. The clear plate covers are illegal too!

How about this one from my alma mater (Clemson, SC)

Bit-ches in heat shall be confined. (No wonder I hated Sundays!)

I got my first one on Friday also!!

I was easing along at about 38-40 mph in a 35, and there was a mail truck stopped up ahead, all of a sudden, from behind me comes this ***** in a Escalade with 23's or so try to overtake me on the right and get in front of me................(NOTE TO SELF: NEXT TIME, LET HIM PASS).............NEWAYS, I nail it, to not let him pass, and before I know it a cop actually jumps out into the street on foot to stop me!

Scared the crap out of me..........turns out he had his motorcycle behind bushes, and radaring the street............got me at 64 in a 35.....Guess those things have good ranges...oh well, at least he let me off on the tints; luckily I got a nice guy, who even complemented me on how the truck looked and sounded!

Hey JC,

Thats VERY similar to my first ticket I got about a month ago! A civic on my right with its left turn signal on playing games. I had to get to the right lane. I slowed down and accel'd a couple times tryin to find room to change lanes, but the a-hole kept playin games. Finally I gunned it, and what do I know. Cop got me for 72 in a 45. What are you gonna do about it? I did driving school online... VERY EASY! If you wanna do that route, the site is http://www.floridaonlinetrafficschool.com/ . Good luck man!
