Wondering if anyone is going with the new fram drain system. I was in the auto parts store and saw that they came out with this new system. Is anyone using this and if you are what is the part number that fits our truck.

 

Yep... I am using it... Fram doesn't list a part number for the L but the SD-2 work on it...

Be sure to tighten it pretty good... mine leaked a little oil about a week later... kind of ticked me off because I looked at it after I installed it and after I drove it a while... no leaks. Then... BAMM... oil on the garage floor.

Put the strong arm to it and tightened it more and no leaks since.

Haven't changed the oil yet since the first oil change is about 800 miles off yet...

 

Thanks, was there a plastic or rubber washer to go around the drain plug, thanks for the reply i think i am going to get one, ill take the leak into consideration
