tr6 gap?

tr6 gap?

I have some temp tr6'S to put in my truck until i can get a new set of densos.
Does anyone know what gap for an 8# lower and a 2# upper with the tr6?

1 ran my tr6's at .040 w/6lb lower. i would close them to 038 with your pulleys,but,,,,, i went back to splitfires,, so, what do i know,or sometrhing

Everyone has different opinions on gap, but this is what I usually suggest:

Stock boost to +2 - .038-.042

+3 to +4 psi- .036-.038

+5 to +6 psi- .032-.036

more than +6psi- .028-.032


Remember, as you increase boost, cylinder pressures rise. As cylinder pressure rises, it's harder for the spark to jump the plug gap, so you need to close it up some based on your boost level.
