My new project, Pics inside.
My new project, Pics inside.

No its not mine, but its my brothers car. Its his first car that he ever bought when he was 16. Back then is didn't look this nice, but it was still pretty cool. Its really a 1965 mustang that came with the 6 cylinder motor and 4 speed tranny.
Since then He's had it completely rebuilt from the frame up, but the guy who did was a moron and did a bad job.
The car handles like crap, the stereo is completely shot so I bought a complete system for it and it came today. Should be a sweet system for under 3 grand.
Here's the difficult part of the car. My brother's car has a 351 windsor motor in it now with a carb and and a crappy radiator and all that. He wants to be able to drive this car everday whereever he wants and not have trouble like he does now with it. I suggested converting it over to EFI system, or even just getting a complete new 302 block and heads and intake with a mustang harness and tranny.
What do you guys think?

.That car never came with a 4 cylinder. The base motor for it in 65 was the 140 ci inline 6, which is probably what he had.
And a 350 windsor? Come on Joe, I can't believe you'd make that kind of typo, LOL.
Seriously, if he's having overheating issues, there are plenty of companies that make awesome drop in aluminum radiators for that car. EFI would be cool, and I've done two EFI conversions in 66 Stangs, but it's kind of a pricey project.

353? I cant think of the dang number..348?? 350 1/2???
What do you think about me putting in a 302 stroked out to a 347 with twisted wedge upper and lower intakes with a twisted wedge head also ported to heck. (eddie port job).
Of course I would get a painless wiring kit for this particular job. If not then a mustang one and convert it.
i know it sounds like allot of work to do and it would be around 8 to 9 grand or so but my brother wants his mustang to be a daily driver now and I think this is what its going to take.

I have a 64-1/2(build date of April 8, 1964) that has the 260 ci V8 with a generator instead of a alternator. I believe that the mustang was actually introduced on April 17th of 1964.
