Thumbs up

All I can say is Paul and Tim are great guys. They have been very helpfull with a few issues I have had with the new blower on my truck, and I didn't even get it from them.

Paul really knows his stuff, so you guys in Florida are very lucky to have them in your neck of the woods. Also the compitition they are giving will make all the tuners do a better job, and we will all benifit from this.

If I lived in Florida I am sure I would be a loyal customer, and maybee there biggest pain in the butt.

So I give them a big thumbs up.

Truth? Only truth is that someone posted that Paul retuned one of JL's chips and made it run better, and you get all huffy about it.

Can't say that i am a REM groupie either. I can honestly say i have not bought a single mod from REM....yet. I just know that Paul knows his stuff, cause i see it everyday.

I recently ordered a chip from Paul and I'm very impressed. The truck feels much stronger, all I need now is a chance to get to the strip and see how much my times improve I also bugged the ***** out of him before ordering, with a few e-mails and phone calls, and he answered all my questions. That's why he got my money I'm seriously planning my next vacation around a trip to FL to get the L modded.

I was posting a repsonse to a message and you singled me out. I'm sure JL and other tuners have reburned chips from other tuners more than once, but no need to post it. I'm not here to put any other tuner down. I just want to make sure the post is the truth. I'm sure REM changed a parameter on the chip, no biggie, that happens a lot too. My chips are tuned 100% to my truck, no mail orders here. But if I did have to mail order my chip, I'm sure it would be no where near the performance I am getting by a custom tune. Every single truck responds different to a chip. That's why the tuners have to stay on the conservative side when sending a chip to someone.

You would understand all this if you read more and respond less.

Really? A custom tune is going to give you better results than a mail order tune? No way!!!!

I never said JL's tune was wrong, just that Paul improved on it. FACT. And i am sure your custom tune has quite a few dyno pulls on it? Paul doesn't have the dyno in the ground yet to do that. He is still doing tuning on the fly. So it will only get better. FACT.

I'm just tired of "your $0.02" everytime there is a post giving REM support. Nobody asked for it. Get off him.

And yet another perfectly good and informative thread about tuners degenerates into a personal war between a couple of owners.

Lighten up. It's about having fun with your L and other owners- we're not curing cancer here or anything.

If you read through the thread it is not about a couple of Lightning owners and their respective tuners. There was an unnessary remark about a tuner and I pointed it out.

And YES! you will get more power out of a custom tune than a mail order....and I thought that was common sense.

Two trucks w/ the same mods can take the same programmed chip and have somewhat different timing and air/fuels. Even if you are a couple degree's off on timing, that can be up to a tenth or two in the 1/4 miles. That's a few horsepower.

Anyways going back to the original topic...

Paul has always treated me very well and I will continue to go with them.

BTW-I challenge you to find one negative comment on REM since they have opened...you won't

Hey, I'm all for new competition, it only makes the products better, the prices lower and the selection greater!

And I am NOT attacking these guys at Razor's Edge because I know ZERO about them.

I have no doubts that there customer service is excellent because nearly everyone that posts about them says so, but here is a question or two...

I keep hearing about how "great of a tuner" he/they are.

how great can they be (this includes anybody else too, big 3 or not), how great can they be if they don't have access to a dyno and an air/fuel meter?

second question, I see lots of sigs and posts about great tuner and great results, but unless I just missed it, I haven't seen any actual track numbers or dyno numbers to back this up. Do the REM trucks really perform comparably to the rest?

I have bought from JL,PSP,&JDM, and if this REM is half as good as everyone says, I'll buy from them too when my '03 gets here, but I'd like to see some facts.

I'm looking forward to seeing their website when it gets running and learning more about this company.

later,
chris
