Probably not fixing anything that was wrong on one of JLP's chip, just changing a parameter. You only get what you ask for. If you want a conservative chip, you get it. You want to run on the ragged edge, tell him that too. It's your truck. However, I truly doubt there was anything to fix...what could you possibly do wrong. Was there a type on the hex code?

After much deliberation, i've decided to go with REM as my tuner. I've heard nothing but good things about him. Once my major appearance mods are finished (which should be in the next few weeks) i'm gonna be giving him a call. A big factor in my choosing Paul was that I don't feel like i'd be getting bent over the counter when it comes time to pay. That and no REM tuner b!tches

This may be piling on but, I just got back from REM today. I wish everyone I deal with in my business would run them like Paul and Tim do. They did a chip, filter, pulley, valve body, and plugs on my '02 HD for me today. Great bunch of guys. My checkbook and I will return.

Believe me when I say it, you will not be disappointed with Paul one bit. He went out of his way a couple of times for me, and ive bugged the **** out of him a couple times too (sorry Paul!)... But he does anything he can to help out an L owner... i'd buy him a 6pack but... well... I can't!

Yeah, just make sure you don't leave it lying around for the girlfriend to see after she asks you to buy something for her, and you say that this week you are broke...................TAKE IT FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!! "Oh yeah, not broke enough to write out checks to Razor's Edge, right?" DOH (In Homer Simpson voice)

OK, I'm DEFINATELY NOT trying to start a tuner war or anything here so don't take into account which tuner uses which chip..........

Have you guys that are using Superships and Diablo thought about this: The guy in front of you or talkin to you on the other end of the phone when your ordering your chip "Really ISN'T the one tuning your truck"...I mean come on these guys get their programs off their supporting company's web-site!!!!!!
The Superchips or Diablo ENGINEER is the one tuning your truck and spending all the time writing those programs and everyone is saying my tuner is better than another.......Why don't you just say my chip company's programming engineer is better than your chip company's programming engineer!!!!!!! Sure you can still get a "Custom chip", but the "Tuner" in front of you calls, IMs, or E-mails this "engineer" and says "Hey, this program needs a couple degrees more timing." "Can you put that program on our page so I can get to it and stop wasting this guy's dyno time"!!!!!!!!

OH, BTW Autologic is the only one out of these 3 major tuning software companies that allows the "Tuner HIMSELF" to do the tuning!!!!!

Incorrect.. REM AND JLP both use Diablo. They BOTH have the ability to burn chips on the fly. They make their OWN programs.

Lets also point out another thing about Diablo before throwing them in the fire. You have 2 options you can go. You buy the chip and your vendor gives you a supplied program from Diablo's website OR Option #2 is a TUNER calls up Patrick @ Diablo HQ in Florida, and PATRICK writes the program for your truck. This is what was done for me a few weeks ago.

Until the new revolution software is available to all Diablo Dealers, Patrick @ Diablo HQ is the only person who can write custom programs. REM and JLP are exceptions @ this point.

Also another thing to point out.. Diablo are the only ones who can tap into 4 banks at once... All the other chip companies can only tune 1 bank and 1 bank only.

To the JL groupie 99svtlighning, why do you have such a hard-on for REM? You gotta jump in every post on multiple boards that has anything to do with REM. Does JL give you a certain percentage off your next order everytime you mention his name on any thread involving another tuner????

Get a life.

boostedtruck,

I'm a groupie? It seems like posting the truth, bothers an REM groupie. When I see misleading information, I post the truth. I don't have to put down other parts to make my parts look good. I just run the truck. The reliablity and timeslips say it all.
