Garage Carts

Since I have had the Lightning, I have gotten just about every wax, cleaner, towel etc. that I can to keep it looking nice. My only problem is that all my stuff is taking up room on our garage shelves and I would like some type of cart that I can just wheel out to the truck and not have to go back and forth.

So my question is what do you guys use and do you like it. I am thinking about getting a Kobalt tool chest at Lowes, since its on sale. I can get everything in it, but wondered if someone else had something more practical.

Thanks

I'd rather use an old metal trash can lid!

Yeah, or a CRX. You could get one cheap, and that'd be the perfect size.

Lol. Get some type of box, and just keep them in the bed of your truck. Then if a bird *****$ on your truck when you go to the grocery, you can take out the cleaner, and clean it right up...

Funny that you mention that, Mecca - I used to keep most of my stuff in the box behind the seats.... until I decided to put amps there instead... :-\

Now, no cleaning stuff for me!

Roll cab

I got myself one of those el cheapo roll cabs for my waxing stuff. Get yourself one with the big double doors at the bottom and about 2 or 3 roll out drawers on it.

I keep my waxes in the bottom and the cleaning tools (brushes picks etc) in the top

Like this one.

From: Tampa, FL, or Memphis TN... depends.
Sam's Club had a heavy wire cart that I was thinking about for the exact same thing. I think it was 60 bucks or something. Had two or three shelves, the top shelf being more of a shallow basket about 5-6" deep, casters, et cetera. Perfect for this type of thing... or even light mods in which you don't want to toss the stuff on the ground.

Check it out.

Id have cleaning stuff in my truck too, but... No where to put it all. Ive had sub's in my truck since like the 3rd day I had my truck. When I get a bedrug,im gonna put my little cargo container that I took outa the cab, and mount it in the bed of the truck. Then I can have some cleaning solutions to work with!

I keep most of my sprays/cleaners/ect in an old Havoline 12 qt box. Clean rags in a Walmart bag. Dirty/used rags in a separate bag.

It's cheap and very portable on short notice (or like me...I forget until last minute). Save your dough to put the GOOD stuff in the box... TOOLS!

I built a shelf by splitting a 4 by 8' sheet of plywood lengthwise, then using 2 by 2"s as legs... so basically each shelf has 16 square feet of space, plus its up high enough to clear bikes, my compressor, and assorted junk/parts/gear.

Of course, once you have shelf space, ya fill it. I have way more cleaning stuff (a whole case of Mequiars detailer just to start), plus spot paints, mag and wheel polishes, etc... damn shelf is full, and spreading out to my workbench.
