Already lowered...PLEASE HELP

My Dad's L had a 3/4 drop when he bought. Well, as time has gone by, he unfortunately has plowed into some metal, rims, etc. laying in the road. Anyway, The point is that it is too low...especially for the boat we just purchased. My question is that because we don't have the stock parts to put it back to factoy specs, can I purchase, for instance, the FRPP 1/2 drop kit to raise it back up some. Any advice or ideas will be greatly appreciated. P.S. - I don't feel airbags will help. It will just stiffen the ride not leaving much room for error when pulling the 7000 piece of machinery. Thanks in advance, Kevin

I would gladly trade my stock suspension!

Otherwise, the lowering kits are usually nothing more than lowering shackles in the rear, which could be removed to return to stock height, and shortened springs in the front, which could just be replaced from a taller spring.

Hope this helps - and I mean it about the trade!

I will trade you my stock suspension also. I have it sitting in my closet in a box all ready to go You can email me with any offers. Or if you want something extra for it. Since you bought the truck with the kit on there. I think an even trade would be fine.

Regards of Trading

Hey Guys,

I would be more than happy to trade this suspension, but I refuse to because it SUCKS. I would not want another fellow lightning owner to experience the same trouble I have had. And after having it looked at many times on top of a few hundred bucks...it still SUCKS. Thanks guys for the offers because I would consider if I had a worthwhile suspension...i.e. belltech, etc. This suspension was pieced together by brand names that a L does not deserve. Anyways, thanks for the advice. Kevin

What brand components are on this thing that suck so bad?

And, do you say they suck because of the ride height? If so, that's the height I'm looking for...

Fill us in, here!

Kevin:
I just put a Belltech 2/2 on my 2002 L...You can have my stock parts for $100.00 plus shipping...I don't imagine UPS ground is too expensive from Garland to College Station...
