bbk throttle bodies

I was looking around at throttle bodies for Lightnings at all the major L parts sites (Johnny Lightning, JDM, PSP, Lightning force)... most of these units are around $450 and are Accufabs. Then I checked out RPM Outlet and they have a BBK one that is much cheaper (around $320). Is the BBK one a good unit? And they have 2 sizes, 63mm and 65mm... which one is better for a 2002 L? Lastly do I need to do a chip reburn from just adding a TB? Thanks for any help!

The 2002 TB is twin 57mm just like all the rest.

You do not need a reburn for a TB.

Did you notice what they were claiming as a performance increase for the BBK shorty headers? Up to 30hp. Anybody know if this for real?

I'm not aware that BBK makes a TB for the Lightning. If it is 65MM that is for a Mustang and they are round not oval.

Ford makes a Cobra R TB, Accufab makes one and so does BaBolt. I also believe JL has one.

Good luck.

Here is the link if anyone is actually interested...

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/46tb.htm

They have 2 models, both of which say they are for the Lightning and Harley trucks... one is 63mm and the other is 65mm and slightly more expensive. They looked interesting to me because they are over $100 less then the models offered by all the other tuner shops and why **** away money if not needed. Take a look and tell me what ya think.

So the natural follow on question is...
How will the different TB's affect throttle response? Does any one have experience with these babies?

seems very odd to me,,, if stock is twin 57mm,,, and aftermarket run around 118 mm,,, then why even buy one that is only in the 60's,, am I reading this wrong or would this bbk tb just be even more constrictive then stock??
