Question Trade my DirtSlinger for an L? (SURVEY)

Hey gang,

Its been A LONG time since Ive posted here. Been caught up in building hobby cars and my family life. Some of you might remember me as one of the first 2K's on 35's. Anyways, I've been contemplating getting a sports car for a daily driver for some time now. But, to loose the versatility of a truck would be a negative. SO, I'm considering trading my lifted 2K F150 for a 01-up lightening. Obviously I would have to come out of pocket alittle here, but I think my truck would get a good price since its built right, still under warranty and is almost flawless with only 27K miles on it.

I'd like to ask a few questions of the L group here (the SURVEY part).
-------------------------------------------------------------------

What year/mileage is your L?

What problems have you had with your L?

Any mods?..if so have they caused any issues for you?

Do you wish you had more interior space (S-cab) ?

How happy/satisfied are you with your truck today?

How would you rate the cornering/brakes of your truck?

I'd like to get a feel of these trucks to see if its worth considering giving up DirtSlinger for one. I LOVE my truck, and it gets thumbs up and whistles all the time...but my true love is SPEED. It's hard to think about leting it go but maybe an L is better for me.

Opinions?

DS

Vinnie~

I wont be the first to lift a Lightning. LOL, it would be modded for street performance, no doubt. Afterall, thats what I feel like im missing. Power and performance driving.

Abullerm~
Yes, the truck is paid. I would be selling my truck and buying the L outright. I dont need anymore payments adn I have the means to buy it.

I'm hoping I can get some opinions from L owners on this one. My truck is in immaculate condition and has been well taken care of, so I dont want to give it up unless the L is really ALL THAT and the feeling stays for a good long time.

I'm not sure if your L material cowboy! First ditch the ten gallon hat witht the roach clip and feathers hangin off the back then report in in 3 days. If theres no signs of withdrawal you just might be ready.

P.S. The next step is pullin up next to a hoochie mama and askin her if she wants to go for a ride...no more cowgirls for you!

personal preferance.

A few reasons are gas mileage, vehicle weight and less parts to break. And, FWIW, the truck does very well offroad. Anything short of mud bogging or climbing near verticle surfaces, it does with ease. Not to mention, You wont find many mud bogs or verticle surfaces around sunny San Diego.
