I don't think anyone here is doing water or methanol injection yet. But it has been discussed. Try a search for "water injection". Some of the Threads have links to manufacturers of kits and systems.

Thumbs up Got the Water/Meth !!!

Yes, I have been sucessfully running Water/Meth or Water/Alchohol for about 4 months now. I have time slips, data logged and dynoed modest results. The more Boost you run the better the results ! If you are in the Heat it really helps to cool the Intake charge and it definately stops detonation. Much cheaper than mixing High Octane at the track.

I am currently putting together a custom Lightning Water/Meth Kit. It will include everytyhing from Pump, wiring, Nozzles to a new Intake Boot so you don't have to drill the stock one. If you are interested I should have the first ten kits ready to ship by end of the month pending Interest and demand. Send me a PM or Email Boss351@mailexcel.com

Thanks,

Jon

i was planning on building a setup myself, a couple fuel pumps, a resevoir for the methanol, a nitrous nozzle, and some boost switches that turn the pumps on at say 8lbs or whatever other boost level i want it to spray in, that way i dont really have to worry about running dry and burning out the pumps, b/c it will only spray at high boost. as far as the mounting position for the nozzle, i was thinking tapping the intake elbow right after the throttle body, but may reconsider incase i have to go in for warranty work. i primarily want to run this for safety, b/c i dont want to kill the engine, and anything that can reduce the risk of detonation is a plus. i was only thinking of running an extra 4lbs anyway, but may add 6 if i go with the methanol..

Unfortunely the NOS nozzles won't work correctly. I've tried them and they tend to spray the mix instead of atomizing the mix. It is best to introduce the mix before the TB that way if the system fails to shut-off for some reason when you let off the Throttle the Blades will kill the vacuum pull. Electric Fuel Pumps might work, but you need a pump that will hold a constant 60psi at about a 1-1.2 GPH rate. I found out the hard way not using a large enough pump. Also the stronger Head Pressure assures proper atomization through the Nozzle. And lastly using a Boost controlled system does not work very well on th Lightning because of the Positive displacement blower. It is best to activate the system with a WOT switch and RPM setting. Much more tunable and safer. Drop me a PM and I will give you the info I have gathered.

Thanks,

Jon
