Has anyone ever seen or attempted a lightning motor in a F250 or F350 truck? We are currently looking into this project. the truck is a 2000 F350 with a 5.4 auto and 4x4. Any thoughts Good or bad Thanks in advance, kyle

 

i say go for it...charge that sucks... that thing will be able to out womp anything the extra power might not help it climbing hills with the wheelspin so i guess you'll have to be kind on it but i say go for it!!!

 

that truck probably weighs around 7K. the lightning motor isn't enough to make it fast. it would be alot quicker than before, but would probably be a disappointment for all the effort

 

The transmission in it now won't take the torque. Just a thought.

Were not trying to make a race truck out of it. We just kinda wanted to try it. The trans is and issuse and I have thought of that but Im thinking wiring etc if it would work

 

I think you might have to go with a different engine harness ( or extend it ), the way it is done on the f350 is different then the lightning.

 

I have the lightning harness and processor.
