Mod friendly dealer...

in Southern Ny\Northern NJ. Had to take my truck in for service:

Fusing blowing for instrument panel
Pulling to the right
and slow passenger window

and against better judgement I took it in with my filter and PSP fast air system installed and they didnt say boo about it. I even talked with one of their techs and he said I can pretty much do what I want but if I have an ses light, take the chip out. I am very happy with their service. The did an alignment, replaced the window motor and ordered a new fuse panel. Dont want to disclose dealer because big brother might be watching. I'll tell you if email me. Peace

Thumbs up

There are some "mod" friendly dealers out there. I purchased my "00 L used from Mike Raisor Ford in LaFayette, IN. It had several mods from the original owner and I specifically asked if they would honor the warrenty on this L, since they knew everything about it and had used the mods as a selling feature. They told me that they would honor the warrenty with no problems. OK, sounds good. I had it back in a couple of months ago for warrenty work (the only engine work was the IC replacement), no problems with the warrenty covering it. Great! Next, they proceded to show off to me the latest "demo" vehicle for the new car manager. It is a heavily modded "02 red L that had just run 11.8's. They were hoping that no one would come in and decide to buy it in the near future, 'cause they were waiting on their 10 pound pully, to replace the 8 pounder that was on it. Remember, this is a demo that can be purchased at any time and they will honor the remaining factory warrenty on it. I would call them a mod friendly dealer (they DO exist!). They have a web site (www.speedraisor.com I think), so they might have some info on this L. I haven't checked, so don't flame me if it isn't there.

Regards,
MSM

i dont have an L but i just took my 00 HD truck into the dealer for trans work 2 weeks after i put on my procharger. they ended up replacing the tranny under warranty. the one service guy thought i had a problem with the engine. the other one said "what brand supercharger is that?, I can see the IC through the bumper." I kindly said its an ATI. that was all. they took it in for service and returned it 1 week later with a new tranny. (i had a shift kit in the tranny too, but i dont think they ever opened up the valve body)
