Is it still really a Lightning?

I have a question... I'm not being a smart ****
I just seriously want to know.
To those of you with built engines, and aftermarket blowers, upgraded suspension, new seats, etc... Pretty much everything has been replaced. Why did you buy a Lightning?
Is it still a Lightning? The only thing still "Lightning" about it is the badging...
If everything was going to be rebuilt and replaced anyway... wouldn't it have been cheaper just to buy a used F150?

Thumbs down

No, there are too many 'small', untouched things that help to make it a Lightning.

And isnt the standard Ford F-150 a 4.2L V6. The 5.4L is only available in the F-250 series and up I believe.

If you reread my post, I phrased it in a questionlike manner. If I offended you, I apologize.

I don't consider mine a Lightning anymore. It is a money pit. Maybe I'll get some badges reflecting that...

Rhino,
You don't need to apologize for other people's mistakes...

And, my guess is, his real mistake is not buying a Lightning!

Maybe he's a little bitter....

To my knowledge, the Lightning is the only single cab F150 with a 5.4L. That is unlesss you want a Boss 5.4.
