When i tried to get the S/C belt, they kept saying they're server was down, but they had the serpentine belt in stock.
I just said i would come back another time and walked out.

How are you guys getting the belts on autozone.com?
I can find the serpentine belt but it says the S/C belt is not available, even when entering the P/Ns. Maybe they are just out?

I am wanting:
4080990
4080675

Any help appreciated!

I think you have to bust or cut a small clip off to get the tensioner to have a longer travel. Im not sure about the procedure, obviously never done it. I'm sure someone else can clarify alot better than i can.

I think i saw in another post SVTRobG was using a 98" belt!

Autozone & Advance Auto royally SUCK!! If you've done anything custom to your vehicle, your basicly out of luck! I've went to them on a number of occasions w/ a manufactures part # and they're dumb-founded!!

If they can't type in the make model & year of your ride, you can forget it!! I had some old man agrue with me up & down one day about me putting a 180deg thermostat in my stang. He kept on saying that it didn't call for that low of a temp in that model car and, blah, blah, blah!!

I told him that I knew that. He kept on trying to tell me that I was wrong & he was right!! Man, I was so pissed I could've slapped the SH** out of him!

Needless to say, this ol' fart use to own/run a small auto-parts store several years ago! It flopped, by the way!!

My advice,..............by your parts on-line,....or develop a good working relationship with someone at a Napa, Carquest or etc,........... Much better customer service & more knowledgable! I don't like spending anymore money than I have to, but there's nothing worse than getting home with a part that doesn't fit or tears up within a few days or weeks after you install it!

Those discount auto-parts store have to many young kids or women,........(no offense ladies), that don't know the difference between a valve cover & an intake valve!!

Sorry to go on & on,.............but those places kill me!

Man,

Just buy your belt from Auto Zone Online

NO hassels, plug in the part number and you're set. Cheapest place around.

Must've been a quick price increase 'cause this belt now shows as $28.99 at Autozone's online site...
