Question "Extra" insurance

I haven't really looked too much, but I was thinking about mods and money the other day. With my ****-poor math, it seems that I have close to $15,000 invested in my truck that I'd NEVER see again if something happened to it. Do any insurance companies offer "extra" insurance for people like us? I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for the piece of mind of haing my a$$ covered. Thanks, y'all.

It probably depends on your insurance company. Nationwide insurance does offer a "customization insurance rider" I have a 6K rider on my truck that covers my stereo and alarm. If I had rims and such, they could also be covered. I just have to give them reciepts and pictures and i'm covered. And get this, for only an extra $6 a month. Now that is CHEAP insurance

Taking your reciepts and pictures to the agent..or let him take the pics

The most they will probably do is if it gets stolen they will try to help you the best they can

Now if you take the original motor out..and put a non original motor in it..such as a v-6 to a v-8........YOUR SCREWED!!! but obviously you didnt do that.

Call your agent..They will help..if they are worth their salt..LIKE ME!!!

Anyone know of any kind of insurance that would cover a blown motor that is so heavily modified that the dealer would void out on?

Thumbs up

Thanks, y'all. I'll have to check into it and find out why my insurance company says. Hrmmm...how do I take pictures of a 2400 stall and tranny with beefier internals?

Duck,

$15000

You could of bought a Gen1 and have that thing blow away anything with that kind of money.
Sorry, had to remind people on this Gen2 board that Gen1s DO exist! Flame suit on.

Yeah, you like 'em "flaming," huh Nater? And yeah, I probably could've bought a '93 or so and tricked the **** out of it, but then I'd be driving a freakin' Jap box for a daily driver. No thanks...I'll take my Gen2. Hey man, holler when you get a chance (before next Tuesday...I'm going to Arkansas for most of next week)...we need to hook up for some cerveza and wings.
