Good deal on a Gen 1 Lightning

I was down at the Clay City Dragway (Mountain Parkway Dragway) Saturaday with a few friends that were running the Mustangs and found a fellow selling some of his toys.
I haven't seen this truck but it's supposed to be a nice 94 Gen1 Lightning with a 2 year old Vortech SY trim blower (serviced by Vortech less than a year ago) pushing about 13-14 pounds of boost on the stock bottom end, blower is capable of 29 pounds of boost. Truck was/is a daily driver with 130K miles and is in good shape other than the stone chips from daily driving. Truck also has full MSD ignition, fuel sytem upgrade, complete tranny pretty much built for race. I'm sure there's more to it but that's all I can remember before I went into dream land. Truck runs somewhere in the 13's on street tires on a hot day (around 90*), est HP 420+. All info was verified by one of my personal friends that has seen the truck and seen it run at that very track. He wants $8200 for jsut truck or $9500 for truck and a newer open car trailer w/electric brakes and control box and two spares. Sound good to you guys, figured I better ask the experts?

Same guy also has I tihnk a 90's+ Mustang with a Ford big block crate motor. Car is completly been redone, down to every nut and bolt, everything new, chrome or billet pieces all over. 500+ HP. Said he had over 25K invested wouldn't take a penny less than 15,000 for it. I have his name and # if anyone is interested. I am not in any kind of deal/scam with this guy, just letting you all know what I thought was two good deals. He seems to be a a real nice guy, I thought he was a big BS'er at first but someone said he just had more money then sense.

He claimed to have too many toys and was worried he might hit his new Viper sitting in the Garage. You know it must just suck to be him and have all these toys. Yeah right, LOL. Which one to drive today?

And if you want a newer L ... there's one just traded at Cantrell
Caddy in Lex .... I think it's in the used car lot across the
street. They want 27,000 for the '02 with 6 K miles ...
Has bed cover already ....

How's it going? Actually I would love to have a newer L, that's what I would prefer. I just can't afford to keep my 4x4 and get an L and pay all the insurances. That reminds me whats a good estimate on the insurance for a L? I would just trade my current truck in but, then what would I do in the winter when the snow hits. I'm sure a 2wd truck with 380+HP wouldn't be too much fun in the snow. Plus it would be a shame to run it in the salt and cinders they use around here. What do you do in the winter, do you have spare vehicle?

There was a newer black L down at Clay City that I'm told runs there all the time. It's an older guy that owns it but lets his granddaughter run it. I was just wondering if he was apart of the F150online community? Nice truck, seemed pretty stock as times were fairly high, then again it was pretty hot out too.
