Met my match...
I posted this over on NLOC as well:
Tonight I was out tooling around and "ran into" a red new model cobra convertible. He stopped me and asked if I wanted to try it out. I said sure (around 11 p.m. out in the country). I do not race on the street very often, but I figured why not. I assumed I was going to easily put the smack down on him, but I soon realized I had gotten more than I had anticipated. We started from a dead stop first, and I spun badly and he ran off and left me about 4-5 car lenths. The second time we went from around 15-20 mph and he hit it a split second before I did and got a fender ahead of me. It stayed that way until we shut down around 100-110 mph. We stopped and chatted for just a couple of minutes. There were 3 guys in the car and I was by myself. They were pretty cool. I asked what he had done to his car, and he stated underdrive pullies, flowmaster exhaust, and a K+N filter.
Ok, now my question...I consistently run 12.5-12.6 before I had 3.73s installed. I am not upset, and I have no delusions of having the fastest vehicle on the road, but I am pretty sure he is feeding me a line. I am guessing he had some type of power adder (especially since it was a convertible and there were 3 people in the car = more weight), but I could not hear another "whine" over mine. Any thoughts?

EDIT: It was a '99-'01 Cobra, not an '03 Cobra.

was it the 03 cobra? If it was that one comes supercharged from the factory with 390.
A 01 is a ton slower plus had a really bad IRS which made them wheel hop like mad. My friend has a 01 with quite a few mods and is in the 12's so I don't know. But if it was a 03 with those mods hes in the 12's easy.

Hey was blown with either a Vortech SQ which you cant hear or the silent Paxton Novi 1000. Or, he could have been running squeeze. But, theres not enough bolts on he could do besides the 2 listed to pull you like that.
