Depends on the dealer and how they feel about them. Best bet is to ask them first.

After installing a chip, thats it.

There a few places to get chips from. Go to www.NLOC.net and look in the tuner vendor section.

you can pick from:
PSP
REM
JL
JDM
superchips
and a few others.

If you pull the chip out before bringing it in for service and they dont physically look at the contacts on the PCM, can they still tell it has had a chip by any other testing methods?

Yup...they will know.

If you chip...your warranty will quit...or something.

Anything thats not from the factory will void your warrenty. So unless you are positive your dealer dont give a ***** about mods strip them all off before you go in if you ever have to.

If you pull the chip, put the plug back in and pull your negative batter terminal for 15 minutes or so (you should have pulled the battery terminal to remove the chip anyhow), unless they look at the contacts on the PCM, they will not be able to tell if you had a chip on or not.

I had 5 coolant leaks (same place) from the engine block heater... 4 of them were while I was stock...

I modded a bit and couldn't get my pulley off (aftermarket pulley) so I couldn't scream lemon, since I had the mods on and couldn't get rid of em... anyhow, in the end, I just recently took it in and had them remove that engine block heater and put a freeze plug in the hole... no problems so far... I'm crossing my fingers...

if you decide to take the lemon route, good luck... it's can be a difficult route, but it may pay off.

Filing a lemon law suit is a pain in the a$$ and ford will fight you till the end! My father is still going through his lemon law suit with mercedes, and that case is over 3 years old now. He keeps winning and mercedes keeps apealing. Really sucks when you send 90 grand on a car and they won't even take care of you when your having problems with it.

I have to agree with RTKILLA on the lemon thing. It is very difficult to file under the lemon law. The manufacturers do fight it to the death. They have many, many tricks up their sleeves, and also very rich, powerful lawyers.
