Long Tubes and Cats ??

Somebody help me here...

Why would I need to buy a whole exhaust system? Couldn't I get the same effect from installing long tubes and say, Bassani high flow cats? Any comments and opinions appreciated.

Yeah, i've looked at the Silver Bullet system, but didn't know if the stock mufflers were that much worse?

You could use your stock cat-back with JDM's long tubes and high flow converters. It would be fine. Stock muffler flows great.

So am I right in thinking that cats and tubes would yield about the same results as a complete catback system and tubes?

Well, it would be a little different, but not a huge one. Lightning exhaust was pretty good unless you're packing on the boost.

ILL_SVT,

You can do half at a time.
Our long tubes and high flow cats will bolt right up to stock muffler or you could do the catback and it will bolt up to you stock cats.

The stock muffler is good all depending power level.

With our catback you will gain 9 to 11 HP over the stock catback.
So there is some restriction in a stock system.

Hope this Helps
