Post Tire wear

I have had my 01 in two alignment shops in the two past days. they work from 12:00 to 6:30 yesterday and about 2 hours this moring. I had outside wear on the left and inside wear on the right. The shops could not find eneything wrong with the truck. It will pull to the left if you let the wheel go. They said the washers & cam bolts would not help. The Ford dealer called SVT and the national tech. line for a opinion. They will let me know and I will post it. I have 10K on my tire and the back looks almost new and the front will have to be chaned sone. Real sone now that I put them on the back and added mods from JLP.

I had the same problem the first go round at 15K. The front tires were trashed the same way. The dealer I used back in Colorado had to remove some factory alignment stops to get the thing aligned (cost twice as much). All I know is the new set has 15K on them and the fronts are wearing even.

This sounds like a fairly common issue. I thought I was the only one.
I too took my 2000 to three different places, including the dealer. All found the alignment within spec.

I originally took it in due to the Left creep I was getting, with no luck.
Well I was changing the oil and noticed the inside tread on both front tires to be almost completely bald!!

I talked to Goodyear, and they said they couldn't warranty the tires, because it isn't the tires fault.

So had no choice but to get a new pair.
Bought from Discount though.

Well, I then took it to Network alignment, and they installed adj. cam bolts, and adjusted the camber out a little more, and said to keep an eye on them. (The tires)

I only had 13K on these tires BTW, and the rear tires looked good for maybe another 2500 miles!! 15000 out a set of tires is ridiculous, and I don't do burn outs at every light I stop at!

You might try Nitto's, the guy at Discount said he though they were a little better.
They are also cheaper.
I was selling my truck so I wanted the tires to match, so I went with Goodyears again.

Still had the Left hand creep though...

Unhappy

I'm at 18,000 on mine. I probably need them now, but my walet is telling me 23-25. They don't stick like they used to.
