Good Article, it answered my question. And I quote:
Unique chassis tuning also lowers the Lightning 2 inches in the rear and 1.5 inches in the front to improve the handling and give a more aggressive appearance.

I'm gonna order the 2" Rear Shackle Drop kit for sure now.

First of all, there is nothing "little" about the ford 9", it is the strongest and most popular rear end available (in various forms) for street and race use. But besides that, ford hasn't used a 9" axle on a production vehicle in what 15 or 20 years?

I'm sure it's just an error.

yeah, but they always say that, I'm fairly certain that they are saying 2" lower than the standard F-150, not 2" lower than LAST YEARS Lightning.
