I Need a Factory 6 CD changer plug in
Now that I have the console conversion I have moved the stock CD changer to the console bin...I have another changer I took from My Totaled 99. I hope to mount it with the other in the console for a 12 disk effect....all I need is the plug pigtail and a switch....I figure I have 2 ..why not use two. Tweaking the thunderform today..it has 2 MTX 6000 10" Sounds better than the powered Bazooka tube I had...tighter....If I have a 4 channel amp that is 2 ohm stable..and I bridge on side for the 4 ohm subs..run in monoor tri mode as I think it's called.....how much power are they seein`? They sound good...running line level to the amp from the factory head. The amp is rated @ 700 watts into 4 channels with a 2 ohm load. But then another spec says....90watts x 4@ 0.01 THD 4 ohm....

Disk Changer
Why waste the time and effort. I started out the same way and after replacing the factory 6X8's with Polk 6X8's, then added a 600 watt amp (4X150) and tried running just the (4) 6X8's...too much power...sounded better but still had minimal bass.
Next I had to relocate the disk changer to under the driver seat as the amp went under the passenger seat.
I ended up with more noise by adding length to the cd changer.
To solve to need for bass, I added a MTX Thunderform with two 10" Treo's and ran two of the amp channels to it and the other two to the front and rear 6X8's...sounded much better.
I also bought another 6 disk magazine so I could just pop in the next 6 disks on the fly...ultimetly I got a new Kenwood Excelon head unit...you loose alot going through the line level converters.
I now have a spare set (4) of factory spks., a 6 disk changer with two magazines and the factory head unit sitting in my closet.
I would love to sell the whole thing as a set but don't want to rip out the wiring unless it is going with the changer and head unit...just save yourself long term time, money and effort..get another disk magazine...if you are like the rest of us, you will be changing out the head unit soon enough.

I have been running Infinity components up front, tweeters and mids and co-axials in the rear corners with the powered 10" RS Bazooka...which was a bit of a compromise for the passenger seat adjustment...I have already bridged one set of outputs for the thunderform...sounds good enough to me...I have been looking at the Pioneer PH-whatever...
I`ve been recording cassettes and reels for near 30 years and like the tape option...I unhooked the rear corners...to run just the thunderform...pretty good sound stage...But then I`m an old *******.....and I like it loud.....I sorta think the thunderforms are seein` 360 watts from squarein` 90 watts@4 ohms..but then I`m an old ******* who ain`t sure if My equation is right....and I like to use things I have layin` around...if they are acceptable to my low standards.....Yeah I have four piece of ****e factory speakers some where...in the garbage I think...think I have six x six cartridges...hard to sort the tunes and too lazy to burn favorites...whats a guy to do.....
