I don't really know why they added a Lightning forum for us. We already have plenty of different forums for us including:

They did it for relieving the clutter.
I think it was a good move. I got sick of all the " what should i do to my cobra " threads in the modular section.
You got one guy in there named Veech who is putting a L motor in a SN95 stang. Good tech comes out of corral. You can never have enough forums imho.
