Non-Lunar gauge users (interesting low-buck find)
For those of us with aftermarket gauges installed, I stumbled upon/remembered a tip someone told me at WFC.
Since the green boot accompanying the Autometer Phantom Series gauges doesn't quite match the hue of the dash lights, I found a low buck fix to better match the dash lights.
If you remove said green boot, use a blue Sharpie and draw an 1/8" "X" over the end then down the sides of the bulb, reinstall the boot, the blending of the blue and green give the gauges a better look, IMHO.
plus, if you make a mistake and get too much blue, a shot of your favorite cleaner let's you start over.
Pics to follow.
