Those with Borla exhausts

I bought a cat back and it sounds like crap.
Does it need time to break in before the raspy sound goes away.

I have heard a few borla and it seems they are a little raspy. I have put 4 exhaust systems on my truck so far.. Stock sounded good to me but i wanted a little edge. What i have found is most aftermarket are loud and "poppy" At least the ones in my price range. I am not sure about the borla internals (i mean if they are chambered/packed etc) But I can tell you that if you are looking to go just slightly louder than stock (and by louder i mean better resonance OUTSIDE the truck) check out a dual in dual out magnaflow .I am cheezin over the sound ive got. Hope you can work out the borla though and save a few bucks. Is it a 2 in 2 out or dual side by side?? If it is side by side does it have an x pipe?? Like i said i have heard a few of them but never liked the sound so didnt investigate the underbody.

My borla is not raspy at all. It's ok but if i was to do it again i would leave it aloe. For me the stock system was good enough. The stocker sound mean when the revs are up.

I have a Borla, not raspy, but not loud enough for me. I might go for the Mac catback soon....

Try the spintech cat back. It's $50 more than the MAC but sounds great. I think it has the best sound for the L.
