Magnaflow #12568 install?

I went to get my Magnaflow #12568, the longer one installed and the mechanic said he couldn't do it due to the fact that the muffler's pipes are wider than that of the tailpipes. What should he do about this? Did i get the right one?

I had the same exact muffler installed in my lightning. It is the proper one , about same lengh as stock. They have to do some exhaust pipe fabrication in order to make it fit, incluiding new elbows. The sound is barely any different than stock. You are better off getting a cat-back due to the cost. The muffler ranges from $100 - 185 depending if it is stainless or not plus about $135.00 for pipe fabrication. For that cost you are better off getting a cat- back, plus you would have much nicer tips!!! Send the magnaflow back. I ordered a silver bullet!!! Still waiting!!!

It's a cat-back that JDM builds.

I have this muffler and it is coming off as soon as Dynomax 2 in/2 out arrives. Magnaflow sounds strangled under full power.
