New TOY in the Garage!!

my wife and i finally had time to go car shopping today, so after 8 hours, we are home with a new Chevy Tahoe. its that dark metallic green with grey leather interior. OnStar, tow pkg, tv blah blah blah. the general mgr of the dealership is a friend of ours so we picked the truck up for just under $29,000 for a left-over 01.

im just stoked that the wife wont be driving the Lightning anymore.

ill get some pics real soon!...chris

The Ford Expedition did not catch your eye? I had one and thought it was great. Good power and turn radius and it is a Ford.

That 5.3 (LM7) isn't too terrible; I ran a 16.341 at Beech Bend in my '99 Z71 with that motor, plus Flowmaster and cold air. It's got pep. Yessir, it's peppy.

we looked at a couple expys, but they just dont handle anything like the tahoe. im really not into the whole ford vs. chevy thing. there is probably a car from every manufacturer that i would buy. we have wanted to get a tahoe ever since they redesigned them, so we got one.

I used to own the old design Tahoe. I loved it. Rode great, towed a ton and then some. Great vacation vehicle. Got rid of it for a Dakota RT, then got smart and realized what I was missing out on and bought the Lightning. This is the 1st time I have actually kept a vehicle longer than 2 years since I met my wife.

hey dana.... i actually have her on tape saying that she was open to the idea of getting a second L. i just think the tahoe will be a lot more functional the two 2 door pick-ups....chris
