Should I trade?

I have a 95 Impala SS with 54,000 miles. I love the lightnings, have heard great things about them, but have never drove one. I need opinions on how great they are and whether or not I should consider trading. Thanks for the help!

How great are they?

Really great...

Great to the 9999999999999th power...

Everyone here is byassed b'cuz most of us own L's...

They are awesome trucks, that handle well and are quick, and respond to simple performance mods better than any other vehicle I've seen.

Many of the guys here (myslef included) can beat vettes on the streets, err tracks up to 110 or so... then the aerodynamics put the brakes on the L's acceleration...

I love driving to work everyday, simply because I get to drive my L... It's given me a reason to live.

Ooo, thats a tough one. The Impala SS is a gorgeous car too...little work, some money and they're in 12s easy.

I don't envy your choice.. I'd love to own both myself.

The Lightning would have more power, and would definately give you more of a g-force feel because of the raw torque, but the Impala isn't slow itself...

If you have kids, keep the Impala...

Nah... Even if you have kids! Get the L. Build yourself some removable seats for the bed. It'll workout just fine.

If you have kids build yourself some ejection seats for the bed. So if they start to be a pain in the @$$ just fire the F*CKERS right out of the bed hehe.

No kids. I am contemplating this because at the age of 19, the Impala doesn't grab too many girls attention. A lightning would for sure. I love my Impala, but I just don't know.

The Impala SS is a sweet car but the Lightning would probably be more fun. Just take a test drive and you'll be hooked.

the impala is an awesome car but you will need to
spend a whole lotta money to get the performance
like the lightning. bottom line trade the car in.
you won't regret it.

It looks like I will have to sell the car myself. I went to the dealer a couple of weeks ago to look at a supercrew. They only offered me like 11500 for my car. I got up and walked out(but was nice about it). Called today and talked to the salesman and he said it was a fair trade-in price. BS. I think I might be better off looking for like a 99' or 00' model with low miles. Any known problems with these?

I have a 00. The 99 and 00's had 2 recalls the intercooler and the windshield wiper motor.
